Hector, the Moonlighting Unlicensed Physician - The Remonstrance comic for 2008-12-24. Word of the day: caduceus
<< First   < Older   Newer >   Latest >>
Panel 1
Action: Hector kneels by a very sick and dazed Wortle, who is bedridden. Wortle's father, Lortle, stands behind them.
Hector: This is a common reaction to the flu vaccine for children. He just needs a day of bed rest.
Lortle: You know best, doc.

Panel 2
Narration: Just one minute before...
Action: Wortle is trapped in a nightmare of M.C. Escher like proportions. He is surrounded by a repeating pattern of vicious serpents entwined around anthropomorphic, fanged caducei. Wortle himself is black and white, as well as distorted in shape.
Wortle: I... I'm being eaten by a self-replicating caduceus!

Panel 3
Action: We return to a scene with Hector kneeling by Wortle's bedside.
Narration: Five minutes earlier...
Hector: Hmm, I either loaded my syringe with flu vaccine or liquid LSD this morning, which was it? Oh well, he who hesitates...
